dilemma in our job.. or is just a mindset??

finish my haircut and ready to go n collect my graduation gown today when suddenly an sms pop out. What a surprise.. its my 1st customer wife.. both of them bought saving plan from me a yr back..

the sms was quite sweet.. it reads "hi alan, r u still in this line? still remember we discuss the medical plan last time, can we arrange to meet up?

i immediately gave her a call.. well, ever since i closed them, i always want to maintain a close relationship with them bcuz they r my 1st customer in this industry.. the very first to help kick start my career in this industry and they bought a whoppy 7k API. Not bad for a first case but than how time fly man.. nowadays 7k API in our agency is like so so only.. i think so lah.. sometime when we happen to b together in office, u ask ard, ohh.. this month uh, abt 15k, 20k, 19k. wa laoz ehz.. is this good or bad uh.. increase stress = less hair.. hahahaha

anyway.. continue from where i stop.. she still remember me studying.. whoo.. so i told her ohh i graduated already, convo this sat.. she congrats me n we talk for awhile.. so she ask me whether i still in this line cuz maybe bcuz of my studies i pass all my customer to my colleague.. so i say no.. thn she ask me abt the medical plan.. definitely i remember man.. n thn she drop the bad news..

i juz finish a minor operation.. so i guess the plan wont b able to cover me for tt part right.. i was shock.. 1 yr ago she look so healthy to me n thn... i was quite taken back when she break the news to me.. n i immediately apologize for not follwing up with her closely on the medical plan when i closed her on saving plan.. K stop here for awhile, side track..

the truth is.. all these while i been trying to meet up 2nd time, to close them PruShield n Extra but her husband, who is the 1 i canvass, keep postponing the appointment, n always seems not want to meet me when we talk over the phone.. so in e end i decided to juz maintain a customer-agent relationship wch is quite a sad ending lah.. sad ya.. sigh.. n tt time when i closed them. his wife told me tt she want to cancel her life plan in malaysia bcuz the company send her a letter to inform them that their company is closing down, so have to cancel all plan n return all $$ to their customer.. so add to my worries tt she might not have a life plan.. cuz she also told me tt they planning to start a family soon...

now back to tt.. i apologize n she quickly assure me is not my fault, cuz she know tt i been trying to meet up with them but her husband is always busy n also bcuz they are planning for their financial for family set-up.. so after tt we proceed to meet up tmr during her lunch break...

now after writting so long.. come to the link to my topic.. if i choose to or insist to meet up, not through the husband but the wife, maybe this operation might be able to claim, n our relationship will be better wch is what i always want to with all my client.. but if i contact through his wife without informing him, he might get the wrong idea or who knows, piss off with me bcuz he been giving me reason not to meet up, or rather excuses.. sigh..

sometime we, FC really want to help our friends, loved one, client.. i believe our agency is not those who will want to squeeze our potential client saving, or bluff them into buying something they dont need or benefit.. we mainly juz want to give them our professional point of view in protecting themselve or having a comfortable sum to retirement.. but they always 距我们千里之外.. sigh.. n when we dont push them, something happen to them.. when when we push them, they use friendship n threaten..

HUGE summary.. Target Clear, clear and clear

whoo.. back to Singapore again.. yeah.. after 2 months of break from Europe, i'm back to travelling again, to somewhere nearly.. dont really want to travel so far away cuz its really HUGE damage to my HUGE pocket.. hahahaha.. as if its really Huge pocket.. yeah this time round is to our little South-East Asia neighbour, Bangkok..

Its Prudential reward for those Fast-trackers.. since our entire family was there (own up to that 2 little member who didnt turn up.. but we forgive u guys.. next time no more k!!), we went as well.. Apologize to the 2nd batch of traveller, which consist of kenneth, zinc, macy, esther n wing mum. Why bcuz the moment we touch down, i request that we take bus to our hotel instead of taxi (please read the previous few post to know y i requested for it). Their bus-taking culture and fare is so so unique.. really miss the bus conductor toy man.. this is the kind of experience that you will never get it in singapore..

well.. summarize of the trip( to make it short for those who read it), massage, sleep, eat, drink and smoke tts all.. hahahahaa... didnt really enjoy the shopping cuz its all woman clothes!! n when come to guys clothes, either its damm big, if not its damm tight.. wa laoz.. thai serving portion is freaking small man.. 1 have to get at least 2 share to equal singapore share.. shit man.. only when i was back did i realize my pants is getting abit tighter.. oh no... enjoy their tuk tuk.. but thn shorten my life span, cuz the country pollution is world class man..

Anyway, when i was back, i got my 1st piece of good news, i got a 2nd upper class for my degree after review by my sch, UOB. please refer to previous post if u think i am studying under a BANK scholarship.. yeah.. actually was on the way to 1st class, but thn certain unexplain situation i ended up in 2nd upper.. still not too bad lah.. considering my intelligence.. can get 2nd upper is really quite.. ehh.. funny?? hehe..

Thn came the news that my 3 weeks of 18k API is cleared!! actually still can give them a discount of 1K API.. hehe... well.. seems like dusk is always darker before dawn.. so i MADE it.. think back.. how the F*** can i did 21k in 3 days n 19k in 3 weeks.. crazy man.. it struck me dearly..

If YOU really WANT it, YOU can ACHIEVE it!!

Back In Singapore.. 2 weeks already

Back Back Back.. actually cant wait to be back, esp after experiencing their variety of food. Range of food include Pasta, Pizza, Steak, Fries, Green Peas.. if you call this variety or range.. YUCKS...

After a few conversation with friends who went to europe before, i realize what i got is actually the experience. Well bcuz i told all my friends its really nothing fantastic abt europe. Those picture u see in internet or whatever are just the nicest part of that place. When you step into it thn u will realize WHAT!! is this the place that i see in Internet.. Just like how Windows do their wallpaper or screensaver.. It when i elaborate on the underground train station, the train, the people, the services etc that i realize wow.. actually i learn alot man.. Bcuz' those friends tt i talk to took up tour package whereas for me its free n easy. So obviously tour package will bring you to places that offer good service, and since its tour package, most of the time travelling from 1 place to another is by Coach. For me, i take train, tram n buses. When you are in Rome, Behave like a Roman.. hahahaha.. so when i mention abt how dirty is their train station, the F*** up services, my friend were like, issit.. no leh.. i didnt experience that leh when i was there.. so after 囉嗦 for so much, the moral of the story is.. if possible go free n easy.. although its expensive but u really blend into their culture.. fully blend into..

So back in Singapore.. i truely appreciate how our government mould our nation.. 1st class.. (Seldom see me praise singapore 1 if you know..)

Things i hate and like about Italy

Sigh.. i think Italy is around the neighborhood of London.. no wonder everytime this 2 countries clashes for soccer, sure fight and people die.. i can understand why now..

Service sucks big time in Italy.. they are worst than me in terms of tasking.. wa laoz.. i already cant multitask to a certain extend, they are whole lot worst than me.. can only do 1 task at 1 time.. so which mean they will finish servicing 1 person, than the other person.. I was at Macdonald when i ask for paper bag.. they just ask me to wait.. and boy i wait for at least 10 second or more before i was given a paper bag.. n u look at the way they move, wa laoz.. worst thn my grandmother loh..

People here quite mix.. some are OK, some of freaking racism.. like this afternoon when we order food.. wait for 30 plus min b4 our food is served.. at 1st i was like ok.. cuz they can only do 1 thing at a time and always take their own sweet time to do it.. but when i went out for a smoke, i realize that those pple outside, which came in much later thn us, about 6 of them, have their food and the other table of 4, also later than us, having their food also.. wa laoz ehz.. i flare up immediately.. i was standing there and look at Cindy, and say very loud F**K, how come they get to eat 1st thn us.. from than onward i didnt even say Thanks, Excuse me.. all the way i was like HEY you.. i want cheese powder.. hey you, check.. dont even say thank you or anything.. was damm piss off.. After that cindy tell me what do u expect when u r at other countries.. u think they will serve equally meh.. i know what she is saying but what the heck man.. juz bcuz we are asian, yellow skin, doesnt mean that ang moh get 1st thn us.. F**K man.. wa laoz.. the more i type the more angry i am.. no wonder they say.. A Hungry Man is a Angry Man..

But than, we meet with some nice italian also.. but more bad thn good 1..

but thn 1 thing is true man.. italian guy is damm good looking loh.. i am not kidding man.. out of 10 u can at least see like 7-8 yandao 1.. something in them tt look damm sexy loh.. ok pls.. i am not a gay ok but really.. n the lady too.. damm sexy.. n their body.. wa laoz ehz.. places to b big, damm big, places to b slim, damm slim.. u guys get what i mean ya..

N 1 thing for sure, dont be bluff by picture of Rome, Venice and Florence.. not as beautiful as what u guys think.. their street is damm dirty.. Venice.. i think our Clark Quey is much nicer than theirs.. Only thing that is beautiful is their churches.. Florence, among these 3 is the nicest lot..

So thats it.. like Uncle Samson says.. its quite notorious in italy, esp Rome.. but i think u just have to be careful with ur stuff.. they usually pickpocket tts all.. but if u always pay special attention to ur stuff, they see liao they also sianz.. only for those pple who very naive dont care (esp Japanese.. hehe..) they will go forward to these pple.. for me.. hahaha.. i go everywhere with my things in front of me.. when alot of pple ard, i will press it against my chest.. so they see liao also sianz lahz.. oh ya.. another thing.. they like to hey you.. hey.. u cannot turn ur head n look at them 1.. tts what i know lah.. hehe.. i also dunno y dont look at them.. i dont want to know also.. hahahaha...

i will end this post with 1 sentence i love the most when i was at Rome, Vatican City.. laugh all the way when i heard it, cuz it coming out from a italian..

1 week in Italy gone..

Tomorrow morning i will be leaving for France, which is my last country before i go back to London thn back to Singapore..

First stop in France is Nice, a Sentosa alike place.. resort everywhere, which mean beaches everywhere.. blue sea.. hehe.. hopefully can see some nice people sun bathing man.. hahahaha..

Last day in Switerland

Yeah... my last day in Switzerland.. Highly recommended to people who want to just come here n relax.. places to recommended are Interlaken, Spiez and Thun.. Well.. never heard before right.. before that me too.. but whoo... these 3 places are stunning man.. its a perfect place to just relax and drink beer.. like what army say.. relax 1 corner.. hahahahha.. So again.. i will tell u what i like n hate about this country.. for this is totally different from London.. more love than hate..

Alot of things i love about Switzerland.. The people are fantastic.. esp in Interlaken.. Zurich is ok but still feel abit of racism in the air.. Interlaken is totally different.. i guess its bcuz its not a city area tts y the pple here are more friendly.. tts my guess..

Like i mention about london.. i think in UK and Euro, road user are damm friendly.. even if u r jay-walking, they will stop their car n signal u to cross 1st.. wow.. i love this man..

Weather during evening time.. afternoon is abit humid n hot.. but come to evening time.. whoo.. best..

Safe.. this country is relatively safe.. esp Interlaken.. not many blacks.. but when come to night time, they come out.. like cockroach... hahahahhaa... but still dont pose any threat cuz so far my 2 night here i only see like max 5 blacks.. hahahha..

Punctuality i think is something tt born in them..

Hate

Only 1 thing.. Freaking Expensive!! 1 meal here avg cost abt 25-35 SF.. freaking expensive right.. i cant believe it.. the cheapest is 13-15 SF but its salad.. so how to be full eating Salad.. wa laoz ehz.. so every meal here can at least allow me to eat 3 meal in singapore.. n my 3 meals is like ajisen standard.. wa laoz ehz.. sweat man everytime ask for bill.. hehe...

So think again.. i thought this place, esp interlaken, bcuz of its mountain surrounding n beautiful lake, is a nice choice for retirement.. but the standard of living.. think again man.. maybe new zealand is a good choice afterall.. not till when i experience myself their standard of living..

Things i hate and like about london

Yeah.. so this blog u guys can keep it as reference ya..

Hate

well.. more things to hate than like seriously.. you see.. people always say the 1st impression is the most important thing.. The minute i touch down, the custom gives me lots of trouble.. ask me questions like, what are you doing here, how many days, which school, where is the school letter, where u going after that, why swiss, italy and france, why still come back.. stupid right.. no money obviously only these countries lah.. y come back, cuz in-out london is cheaper lah.. wa laoz.. not only me kana this, all my classmate kana also.. tt bring me to this question. Are they trying to protect their countries or they are juz down right racist.. i think the latter man.. hehe..

That brings me to 2nd hatred.. Racism.. didnt got it till i reach london after my school.. u see king cross is their main interchange therefore alot of people.. this fat guy keep trying to squeeze in between us (although he say excuse me) and its not tt i dont want to give way but how to give way when my bag is so big n there are lots of people behind and my friend is in front of me.. so this fat guy juz push me with his hand on my bag which make me nearly fall in front of my friend.. so i was like FUCK.. i shout damm loud till some of the people actually look at my direction. So this fat guy turn around n look at me.. obviously he know i am saying him.. it was too late u see.. i cant like sorry n turn away (kenneth told me they are damm Ham-Ji 1, so must act hiong hiong) so i stare right back at him. Just nice my 4 frenz turn around and ask what happen.. so this fat guy after tt juz turn n walk away.. na beiz.. (anyway if this fat guy whack me i think i will die in london loh.. hahahhaha..). Than the 2nd accident at london eye.. this drunken man was looking at me n saying something, so when we are each other, about to walk past, he shouted something at my face.. hehe.. once bitten twice brave.. i knew something was wrong already so i already keep staring at him.. so when he walk past me n say those racism stuff.. i stare all the way n still after walking past i still look back n stare at him.. i actually stood there n look at him.. he also stop, look back, thn after walk off.. wa laoz ehz.. so this is true, down right HAM JI.. but please hor.. when i did the 2nd stance, i had a swiss knife with me.. so please.. ok..

No chilli.. wa laoz ehz.. till i reach london chinatown.. really buai tahan liao.. went into a chinese restaurant recommended by my cousin.. the cheapest in town already.. finally get to eat some chinese chilli.. wa laoz ehz.. happy like F**K.. hehe.. but come with high price.. sianz..

Love the weather man but minus the rain.. really unpredicated.. like i say in my previous blog..

Love the way they give way when driving.. they are really good road user.. even if u want to jay walk, they will stop n signal u to cross.. good.. if u suddenly want to turn left, they will also let u go.. not bad actually..

Love their punctuality.. when the bus say 1 min, really 1 min reach.. but when they are early, they can actually stop at the busstop n wait till its time to go thn they go.. cute..

First stop - Switerland Zurich

Safety touch down at Zurich after a 1 hours 20 mins flight from London Luton Airport to Zurich International Airport.. Phew.. Internal Euro Flight more well known for their crashes so i was kinda afraid. By the way if u guys dunno abt my fright in taking plane.. it was after since i watch this show call Alive when i was in Primary 4 or 5. Its based on a true story.. shall not say more.. u guys go n watch it ya..

Abit boring here though.. well zurich was never a choice for me it was all bcuz of Swiss Alps at Interlaken but since we already here must as well stay a night.. indeed quite boring, apart from the Old Town and New Town, with some churches in it, nothing else.. Suppose to go to Rhine Fall, the biggest waterfall in Europe but thn was too tired bcuz of the early morning flight we took at london..

The hotel was damm nice lah.. wa laoz ehz.. cannot believe our eye when we check in.. wait.. dunno is a hostel or hotel bcuz we book it online through HostelBookers.com.. its like a boutique hotel loh.. will show u guys the photos ya..

My Holiday starts now..

Yeah.. now on the train from bradford to London.. Transit at Leeds though..

Cool ya.. they actually provide Wifi in their long haul train.. so here i am typing away while my train is like experiencing some trubulance on the ground.. hahahahaa.. (someone didnt tell me that most euro train will go hairwired due to the detoriating of the track)

Enjoying the scenary here while i am typing.. nice landscape of big field and beautiful coloured flower.. Sun is shinning on me right now but dont worry.. not hot at all.. 所为心静只然凉.. now i am very 心静 cuz finally man.. after 2 week of conflicts, going to school, compiling report.. i finally can go on a trip that i have nothing to worry about but enjoy.. oh ya.. 1 more thing to worry

i am a UOB Graduate!!

hahahaha.. Alan Chin now is an official UOB Graduate with a Degree in Science in Business Computing after our presentation impress our lecturer.. even after the fare-well lunch, the lecturer still mention about our Dating Website.. hehe.. seems like it really capture their attention..

So now the next thing to wait for is concovacation on 7 Nov at SwissOtel.. yeah... never can i imagine i can wear 方块帽 again, i thought my time is long gone after kindergarden.. hahahahaa.. well.. after tt i lead kind of a ah-beng school life.. even my parent wont have imagine tt i can get this far.. hmm.. They must b there for me on tt day to see their proud son.. havent do much for them yet so far, only making them angry etc.. so hopefully this is 1 of the thing tt i can do for them for now.. is juz 1 of the thing in my list i want to give to my parent..

So.. another 8 hours i will be on my way to London where i will officially start my holiday.. yeah.. so today this post got 2 officially status.. my confirmation of graduation and my holiday!!

1 weeks plus of none other than fish n chip, roasted chicken, kebabs, pizza, burger, i finally fall sick.. god.. last night was the worst night i ever had.. u see.. i really dunno how this pple here can tahan with only these few variety of food.. dont they get sick also like me.. look at all these food.. is all damm heaty man.. so in the end, yesterday n today what i eat is boil ham, hot dog n no-taste noodle.. what to do.. have to make sure tt i am all good n running when i start my europe tour.. cannot offord to fall sick.. so last night n now i am drinking beer.. like what i tell my frenz..

so fast.. 1 week had pass since i came here.. so many things happen.. 1st as i expected conflict run high in my grp project.. had a so-called man talk.. hopefully they can understand where i coming from.. the next thing is sharing of food n drinks.. you see.. to save money we actually cook our own dinner.. n turn out to be someone damm K-GAO (For non-hokkien, go n ask ur hokkien frenz what it mean..) wa laoz.. cannot take it..

N now i am at a pub, drinking stella artois at 1.44pm.. hahahah.. bo bian.. no internet access.. the nearest wifi is at this pub.. pay for the drink n u can use the wifi.. cost abt 2.30pound.. quite ok lah i think..

i hear u man bro.. the weather here change dramastically man.. 1 moment rain heavily, stop, thn suddenly small rain(dunno how to spell tt word.. issit drizzling?? spare me for spelling man). The worst was once we are at our school atrium.. rain freaking heavy.. really heavy.. thn 10 sec later, stop n bcome bright.. wa laoz ehz.. i am not joking man.. really 10 sec.. mayb 11 or 12, mayb 7 to 8 sec.. but really.. very fast come, very fast go.. wa laoz ehz.. shock man..

My First Very Blogging in UK-Bradford

Yo..

Lost with words actually.. Maybe still abit jet lag as UK is 7 hours behind Singapore time..

Am doing this while my lecturer is lecturing.. boring man.. spare me with this come mon.. i already print my report.. no way can i change my report already n i wont change it bcuz i come here to play n not work!!

Last night went grocery shopping and got a few stuff that i think will be enough for me to last 2 weeks of our dinner.. yeah.. save money.. about 10 pound each which is actually abt 23 Sing.. Actually in a UK citizen point of view, the supermarket stuff really cheap man.. haagen daz at 2 pound only, magnum white 3 in a box goes for 3 pound for 2. MOS and Gatecrasher CDs at only 10 pound each.. quite tempting to buy bcuz this type of genre cost abt 30-40 bucks in Singapore.. hmm...

Makan here is slightly more expensive than singapore. KFC cost abt 4.99 pound, which is about 10plus.. But it come with 3 piece chicken, 2 hot wing n 1 crispy strip.. too chicken so i buy a colesaw.. the chicken is so different from Singapore.. freaking nice but thn no chilli sauce.. sianz.. they are damn stingy when come to sauce.. only 1 sauce for 1 meal.. crazy..

I am flying off..

Yeah.. in about 5 hours time from now i will be flying off to UK, Bradford for my 2 weeks stay. It was suppose to be in April but they drag it till now. So quite funny, finish my last paper in 30 June, which mean i already graduate but still have to go Bradford.. Have to do a presentation on our Group Project and than attend some lesson. I can foresee i wont be a good student there man.. hehe..

After 2 weeks in Bradford, i will than proceed for my Euro trip.. 3 weeks in Switzerland, Italy and France. Whhoo.. its like my Pre-Honeymoon.. hahahahhaa.. dont play play leh.. pre-honeymoon go euro, post honeymoon should be even further man.. hahahahhaa...

All the best to my colleagues-in-arm. Thanks for helping me take care of my customer for these 5 weeks of absence.. When i come back, lets WORK!!

I am a graduate!!

*thinking back of last time.. really quite long ago

i have this friend who always tell people he is a graduate. U know, those time when u r a graduate u r like someone.. at tt time i was thinking what so nice abt telling pple u r a graduate. So what if u really a graduate?? is tt really impt?? its juz a piece of A4 size paper (ok slightly bigger than A4) tts all.. the rest is how u use this A4 size paper to good use...

Anyway, damm shiok.. its like finally finish a impt task tt last for 2 and a half yrs.. i also dunno how to go through, but the only thing that i can remember from this is the last 3 months, where FYP, overseas project, exam and assignment all squeeze in 6 months time.. wa laoz.. nearly choke to death and not to mention abt those sleepless night bcuz of stress.. Now while typing this, i remember some of my frenz who actually tell me to think twice taking up part time studies.. Difficult, Stress, etc was the reason they gave me.. SHIT!! if you are determine, dont care what others say.. Just have the 'tick' motto n you can achieve it!

In 5 days time, i will be leaving Singapore and off to my school. It will be the longest holiday i ever go. Longest in distance n time. Actually quite looking forward to it..

Congratulation to our family for their hard work for the past few weeks.. a really hectic n crazy week man.. rushing for fastrack.. big congratulation to those who clear, n big pat to those who achieve their own target set forth for themselve.. one way or the other, we won.. but another half yr to go to acheive even greater things..

Its been quite a long while..

Yeah.. finally got the chance to blog.. time check, its 1 of those early hour in my time of Prudential.. Today quite a special day cuz' a grp of going-to-be elite joining a grp of elite for meeting.. Its time for exchanges ideas and trade.. so quite looking forward to it..

A change in my direction of prospecting clients.. After the 2 days of intensive sale training, i am now tapping into my warm market.. Yeah.. after 8 months in this business i finally going into my warm market. A whole new market for me and so far seems bright.. Probably they can see the other side of me, a sincere trusting friends, instead of the usual me: cock-ster, not the serious me-> for your info, i am serious 1 ok.. but depend on situation lah..

Another place they i venture into is referrals.. Got a few here n there and 1 of them actually meet me up the very first i called her to inform her about my client recommendation. Wa laoz ehz.. how nice that is..

Next week is going to another hectic week for me but its going to be my last hectic week in my academic period bcuz its my LAST PAPER!!yeah.. finally man.. graduating soon if everything goes well.. after my last paper, will be the last thing which is the presentation at Bradford premises.. after that will be my holiday touring Europe..

After that, back to Singapore to fight the last thing in my life, my career in Prudential..

Just like my brother msn nick, "I only expect success.."

Just realize a few days back that i did not set the timing correct to our Singapore zone. So if there happen to be foreigner reading this blog.. Yeah you are Damn right!! This man is from Singapore..

My new little "blog description"

Just got a new addition to my blog, and that's the blog description.

Thought was quite cool.. that creative word is a invention from my baby..
So must be damn cool right.. who dare to say not cool.. u get it from me!!

Went for a appointment last night about 8pm at Bedok. This lady brought along her auntie friend, and started to sound so irritating. Saying things like "i don't want to come one when she told me is meeting a insurance agent.." "this job tough hor, how to sell when almost everyone got a insurance". Get what i mean, those typical 3 8 auntie you see almost every morning around the market gossip loudly about that ah soh daughter or son. I must say she really get the nerve out of me and indeed she did, big time.. And for that i gave it back to her..

JIA LAT JIA LAT!!

As a 见面礼.. Until she keep quiet and sit back for the last 15 minutes of my appointment. Hahahaha..

Please.. although what i did is not very encouraging, this is afterall suppose to be a blog where it gives fellow colleague on new sales ideas, it is after i endure that auntie rubbish, giving her 3 chances not to step into my patient zone and after i reconfirm this is going to be our 1st and last meeting, than i did it..

So.. 小弟弟不要学hor, 叔叔有练过的wor..

But afterall, the lady did smile, didn't join allies force with her auntie friend and attack me. And after the appointment, volunteer to send me back to the station but i kindly rejected it.

So.. those who know what i mean, i am ready for war tomorrow.. provided he is back from Bali..
